Birch, which began as a special request for a friend's wedding has become a very popular choice for brides across New England both as toasting glasses for the happy couple and as centerpieces and gifts for honored guests. Combining the translucent papery effects of birch bark with its more noticeable white and black accents.

"I was both honored and slightly terrified when a friend asked me to paint the toasting flutes for her wedding party. Her husband-to-be, an art teacher, had designed their wedding invitations to include the iconic Maine woods white birch featuring an "engraved" heart with their initial and of curse she wanted these to match. After a lot of thought and studying of birch trees, I put paint to glass and created Glass Paradox's Birch design. It was a success and they requested matching Christmas ornaments to give to their parents to commemorate their special day!" ~ Amy

The bowl of this 12oz wine glass is slender and appropriately shaped for your favorite white wine though can also support the aeration of a light to medium-bodied red if you prefer. The 8" height fits nicely onto the table for a dinner party or to carry about at a social gathering.
