Description
The hand-painted Brite double rocks glass or “double old fashioned glass” is a short tumbler used for serving spirits, such as whisky, with ice cubes “on the rocks”, or without. This larger rocks glass has a wide brim with a straight linear side and a thick base. The thicker bases allows the non-liquid ingredients of a cocktail, herbs, fruits, or sweeteners, can be mashed using a muddler before the liquid ingredients are added.
The artist creates an eclectic and mind-boggling mix of weaving lines and curves in mesmerizing colors. Blue, purple, green, red, orange and yellow all mix and meet to create this completely unique design which is never exactly the same twice!
The Brite Rocks glass makes a bold and vivid impression in any setting as well as a wonderful conversation starter!
Amy's Story
Brite is the design that everyone thought was a crazy idea! “It’s too busy, too difficult, it’ll take too long to paint” were just some of the things I heard when I first showed the design to a few friends and family members. Yes, I was looking for their input and support. When they reacted with less enthusiasm than I had hoped, I proceeded to do what I wanted anyway and added Brite to my (then) small selection of Glass Paradox designs.
Yes, it is "crazy", "difficult to paint" and "time consuming" but it is also one of the best selling designs I have ever created! I love it! Six colors interwoven, never coming to meet themselves head-on in a single piece. That was the concept I developed in the creation of Brite. It’s bold, it’s complicated, it’s fun and it’s Glass Paradox!
