2018 marks my 25th year of painting on glass. Seems like a long time and a very short time all at once. What started as a kitchen table hobby after an introduction to glass paints at a small art shop in Worcester has become an integral part of who I am. My artwork have evolved from stencils to free hand designs and drawn templates. The color palette which began with 4 basic colors now numbers closer to 100 and the blanks I use as glass canvases no longer are scrounged from yard sales and flea markets but purchased by the pallet full direct from the manufacturer. Yes, Glass Paradox has come a long way and, so have I.
To celebrate this evolution and anniversary year, I will be painting limited quantities of 16 oz red wine balloons each month. These perfectly sized red wine glasses fit beautifully in the hand and allow for swirling and sipping. They are in limited quantities as they are not part of my current regular offerings. With 15 styles of stem and drinkware already available, I must draw the line somewhere!
So, on the 25th of each month, a new design will be offered at the anniversary price of $25 for the pair. Yes, these will be on the website by the pair unlike every other glass shown. Remember, they will be strictly limited and once a design is sold out, it will not be available again as an anniversary special.
